Vision: BRIDGE envisions Ghanaian villages that have the organizational power to steer their own development.

Mission: To build sustainable organizations in Ghanaian villages by strengthening the capacities of local groups, funding their projects, and linking them to groups that can help them achieve their goals.

Our Approach: BRIDGE ignites change by providing groups with the organizational skills that are needed to sustain their efforts in reducing poverty. We tap existing local energy by working on projects that they identify as important, and assist them by transforming informal activities into formal community-based organizations (CBOs). This is achieved by strengthening their capacities to plan, implement, manage, and evaluate projects. We provide small seed grants to help get their initiatives off the ground, and after numerous successful implementations begin linking them to outside groups so they can scale up initiatives.  Our ultimate goal is to help groups get to the point where they can approach and collaborate with the international development community as solid partners.
