"Adzida" is an old traditional drumming music. It is comprised of single gigantic drum tilted at a forty-five degree angle. One person may even sit upon the adzida drum while numerous other drummers beat various parts of the drum simultaneously. It is accompanied by a dance called agbadza, which is a backbreaking torso dance commonly referred to as the “chicken dance”. Listen to a sample of Adzida drumming.
