Kevin Overmann & Natalie Conneely 2005

Kevin and Natalie were undergraduate students at Notre Dame University in 2005 when they went to the field. Natalie grew up in Bolivia with ambitions of improving social justice, and Kevin, a pre-med student, had dreams of one day working as a doctor in the developing world. During their time in Adaklu they assisted groups in developing their mission statements and strategic frameworks, which can be used to show funders the scope of their work. They helped design and write five proposals that all eventually were funded reaching $13,500.

Kevin returned to his host site in Adaklu in the summer of 2006 to do research on maternal and infant mortality as part of his pre-med studies.
