The Orphan Fund

The Orphan Fund provides educational opportunities for children who have lost a mother or father by paying their school fees, sewing their school uniforms, and providing sandals, notebooks, and pencils. Since 1999, the Adaku Youth and Education Committee (AYEC) has supported a total of 1,000 children. The goal for 2005 was to expand to six additional villages and send a total of 285 orphans to primary and middle school. The goal was achieved. The cost of sending one child for a year is $25.
